The Bursa Nilufer International Piano Competition & Music Festival is open to contestants from all countries. All ages are welcome to apply and age groups are specified into seven categories.
Entry places will be decided by our international panel of distinguished judges. To enter please fill out all sections of the entry form accurately. Competitors must be entered by educational institutions, music schools or by independent trainers. Independent entries outside of the above specifications will not be accepted.
Competitors who place 1st, 2nd or 3rd will receive certificates, awards and/or medals assigned by the competition commission.
1. Jointly organized by the Bursa Nilufer Municipality and Akademix Fine Arts Centre, the 1st Bursa Nilufer International Piano Competition will be held between 10-14 December at the Bursa Nilufer Konak Culture House Hall in Bursa, Turkey.
2. 2. There are seven different age categories open to participants from around the world.
Group Age Time
Group A Up to 9 years old maximum 8 minutes
Group B Up to 13 years old maximum 12 minutes
Group C Up to 16 years old maximum 15 minutes
Group D Up to 19 years old maximum 20 minutes
Group E Up to 24 years old maximum 25 minutes
Group F Up to 28 years old maximum 30 minutes
Group G Up to 32 years old maximum 40 minutes
* Participants should be correct age on the day of the competition
3. Participants should complete all sections of the entry form and submit entry fees online as described within the entry form.
4. The application deadline is midnight on 31 October 2016
5. All participants are responsible for all of their own expenses, including travel, accommodation and food.
6. Participants must play pieces by memory.
7. The participants programme and order of play will be published online on 01.12.2016.
8. The judges will assess all participants and decide on winners of each categories on December 14th 2016.
9. The prize-giving ceremony will be held on December 14th 2016 at 19:00 at the BAOBA auditorium stage.
10. A concert will be held by Fazil Say on December 14th 2016 at 20:00. This will mark the end of the 1st Bursa Nilufer International Piano Competion & Music Festival.
